Hello, guys; I am returning with another cool article, which is something new.
Today, I will discuss the md5 checksum and its usage. Everyone downloads files from the internet like MP3s, MP4s, zips, etc. But sometimes, that file gets corrupted and does not open or extract. In the case of zip files, which sometimes flash in custom recovery, it is a huge problem for the user if the file is corrupted. So, the md5 checksum is giving the solution here. It gives 32-bit unique values for each file. As a result, the user can easily identify that the file is corrupted or damaged.
Here is an example
This is a demo file from androidfilehost.com for testing md5. If we keep an eye on this picture, there is a md5 number for this file.
Now, we are downloading it on our local drive.
Then, we open it with the md5 checker. Then, there is the result
We see this is the exact value on the Android file host site. So, there is no doubt that this file is intact or not damaged.
So, I think you caught what I am describing.
Now, let's download the md5 checker for PC from this link so that you can test it.
